Refund Policy

1. Professional Service Fees

Our professional service fees cover advisory, document preparation, and filing services. Once work has commenced on your application — including preliminary searches, document drafting, or any communication with a statutory authority — the professional service fee is non-refundable.

Work is deemed to have commenced within 24 hours of payment confirmation, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Government Fees

Government fees and official charges paid to statutory authorities (such as the Trademark Registry, Copyright Office, or Patent Office) are non-refundable under any circumstances, regardless of the outcome of the application. These fees are collected and remitted on your behalf and are outside our control.

3. Exceptions

A refund of the professional service fee may be considered in the following limited circumstances:

• Duplicate payment: If you have been charged twice for the same order, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full.
• Service not commenced: If you cancel your order within 24 hours of payment and before any work has begun, you may request a full refund of the professional service fee (government fees excluded).
• Service not deliverable: In the rare event that we determine we are unable to render the service after payment, we will refund the professional service fee in full.

4. Outcome-Based Refunds

We do not offer refunds on the basis of application outcome. The grant, refusal, or objection of any intellectual property right is determined by the relevant statutory authority and is outside our control. Our fee covers the service of preparation and filing, not the guarantee of any particular result.

5. Refund Process

To request a refund, email us at support@braintrustip.com within 7 days of payment, quoting your order reference number and reason for the request. We will review your request and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
